This section of the website is devoted to my teaching practice.  It begins with an examination of the philosophical basis for my approach to education - what I believe about how students learn and how I can best prepare them for the world beyond my classroom.  There is also a showcase featuring some of my favorite assignments - moments where I saw my students grow as scholars and individuals as a result of lessons I designed and taught.   Additionally, while each piece in the student work showcase contains a reflection on the assignment and they way it reflects my teaching philosophies and practices, I have also included a series of reflective essays on the various roles I hold at St. Johnsbury Academy.  My observations by administrators are also linked to this page.  The syllabi for the courses I taught over the past academic year are included in the pages that contain my reflections on both Humanities and Perspectives in Literature.
